HA. Did you have someone with you asking you why you parked in the staff car park?

noticed some oil on my drive, what could it be? just had oil filter changed seems to be coming from behind the sump

Minis leak. It'll be fine. Think of it as an automatic waxoyl system for the floorpan.

Ricky has the answer. It's probably oil from the change all over the subframe dripping off. Or could be the rocker gasket has gone on the back of the engine and is dripping down all the way to floor. Mine did that for months before I worked out where it was coming from.

Done! made it down to the country in one piece without any wheels falling off too
Also swapped cracked jewel lenses for nice new standard ones, looks much smarter :)

Next thing im gonna do is remove the door scoops and lowering the rear a tad on the high lows.
Also what dyou think of this bonnet? really have a hankering for it with a subtle black mesh?

Looks good with the black wheels. Don't get the bonnet, never ever.

Bleurgh hate mini's with bodykits - those zeemax ones are gash!
Just thought the scoop would be sublte enough if painted red and a black mesh used. Will probs give it a go some time down the line as its only £40 the bonnet :)
As for a sticky number plate was thinking sticky black and silver front and pressed black rear? propped on dash as my double sided tape failed :/

The scoop will never be subtle.

Sticky black and silver could look pretty good as an offset square.

Yeh, I wouldn't bother with black and silver plates it's just an excuse to get pulled over.I ran a small square stick on plate on my mini and never had any problems but I have heard people who have taken a bit of heat with stick on plates. Should be fine though and looks better than having it on the dash!

It depends how much you want it. If you are willing to take the heat if it comes your way then do it. Otherwise don't. My car had a sticky plate when I bought it, owner had 0 problems for the 2 years he had hit. I had no problems. I still have no problems with no number plate.

I always thought that cars looked better sans front number plates. I never had any hassle for it but I guess it's a personal preference.
I understand your point if you mean messing round with spacings and font to create a plate that looks like some tenuous name or phrase but mine was legally spaced in the correct font.
Plus think of the weight savings I made...

The problem with these plates are the original mounts are still there and quite obvious. To properly do this you need to remove those otherwise it looks silly, I think.

Haha yep decided to ditch front plate ad keeping it in the boot - driven past loads of rozzers and no problems yet (touches wood)

It only takes one nitpicking copper to ruin our day. I once had grief from one who thought I had too little white space around the L of my L plates.
I have no idea if its an endorsable offence, but if it is remember that you only got your full licence recently and for the first two years it only takes six points for it to be revoked.
I also believe they have the power to revoke your personal plate, though I think that's usually for naughty spacing.

It's not really nitpicking, it's against the law to not have a number plate, but I'm still yet to have any problems. I've found from friends' experiences that you're more likely to get pulled over if you have a dodgy plate rather than no plate.
