I used to use the tow path for summer recovery rides but it's pretty busy with people before sun set on a warm spring afternoon. It might be the shortest route, but probably not the quickest.

I was only intending on using the canal from lee valley road onwards as it's quite easy to pass from there to Waltham.
Not ridden the canal path much past Cheshunt lake, does it get mad thin after?
