I'm speaking from experience here too, one of my first decent steel road bikes was a Pinarello Veneto, also in Aelle, and it was a really sweet ride - I would never have parted with except I came to accept it was a bit small for me. In comparison I have since owned and/or ridden many of the iconic Italian steel road bikes of the 80's and 90's and many lesser know marques too, and it really is more important that it is built with care, with suitable geometry, and also very importantly that it fits you correctly!
