• EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

The manager of the sports centre has made a complaint to me that alcohol, despite my request that none should be brought on site (and this includes consumed on the street or car park or suspect being even slightly intoxicated) is still being consumed and brought on site. We run the risk of the event being cancelled for Sunday and any further events we wish to have at this venue.

PLEASE NO ALCOHOL ON SITE OR TO BE CONSUMED DURING THE DAY WHATSOEVER.

    Thanks.

  • Stabbath looking real good! Must go, will have to find out who wins tomorrow.

  • Well done on the win Springers. 5G.......all I can say is WOW!!

  • On the train back from an awesome weekend in Bristol, thanks so much to zsofia, rich, paddy and all of the Bristol crew who helped. Great courts, loads of exciting games you even arranged for the sun to come out for us and a great vibe throughout. Awesome to play with mayeut and Sean too and get 4th, well done guys.

Personal highlight: beating H-bomb 5-1. Ooo are ya?

  • Good job Bristol you do some of the uk bests tourneys each year they get better and better! Bring on the next one sounds awesone.

Well done 5g and black stabbath for making a real entertaining game. 1st penalty shot in the UK super awesome for the moment!

  • Great tournament, really well organised.

I really enjoyed the weekend, thans to juan, rich, zsofia and paddy.

I have just realised sitting on the train that I left my snack pouch on the wall (hanging from the fence) I think it just had a glove and two balls in it... Anyone pick it up? The balls are actually worth more than the pouch... I particularly pay a reward for the one that has the yomoyo xth place sticker on it?

    #allwaysloosessomething

  • Thanks for another awesome tourney Brizzle. Sunday ran mega-smooth and I think those courts are the UK's best. Wish we could play there more often!

Gutted to lose out to 5G at the end; maybe I shouldn't have tried to fuck Chan... They gave Sprink Fake a better run out than we did anyway.

I was just happy to be Chris Pickering's hero for the day.

I can't wait for the video now!

  • I looooooooved the courts, thanks so much rich, zsofia and bristol. Had a blast of a time. Polo pulled the shenanigans out of the bag on saturday night yet again. Great to see such a wide split of teams enjoying themselves and pushing so hard. It was a nice final split with a few surprises. Props to Stabbath for beating us twice, scallies too and well done 5G who as a club are just getting bigger and bigger. Respect to chan for MVP. Superb shooting, calm composed and excellent zombie goal keeping too. Great to see an old schooler get it for a change ;) Bristol has such a nice vibe as a city and in odd role reversal, the polo courts were the only areas of sobriety in the whole city. Thanks Frax and Boges, for the cuddles, laughs and games. YEP!!!

  • Great work Bristol, another awesomely fun tourney.....

thanks Casper for putting me, jess and dave up.

really great weekend, best courts in the country no doubt. well done to Black stabby stabber and 5(O)G's you guys really stepped it up and came out strong----more like that please.

Oi Chan that guys not having fun........

  • Had a fun time, playing sober was fun but obviously quite dangerous. Very proud of 5G, they done good.

  • Great weekend Bristol! courts were awesome. Well done Chan and Mya MVP MVP

  • thanks Bristol, has to be one of my favorite tournaments ever, awesome weather, courts and camping. On a big post tourney comedown now, cant wait for the next one

  • Ace courts, ace weather, great polo. We played some of our best polo ever, and saw some too. Thanks a lot Bristol!

  • Thanks Zsofia, Rich and Paddy! The courts really were excellent, as was organisation/whipping... amazed at how little need there was for "there's no time!" especially on the Sunday. Props for all the abundance of nice prizes! Thanks to Juan for puttin us up in his delightful hobbit house, too... Top commute and scenery.

Enjoyed playing as always, feel theres improvement on last year too. Some wicked sweet games to watch, my highlight was Stabbath v 5G. Edge of seat action. In fact so many golden goals this weekend, super fun an even more testament to the organisation.

Can't wait for your next one! Seriously brilliantly put together, Bristol!

  • As above, chapeau to the organisers - Bristol-style makes it all seem so trouble-free and relaxed across the board, setting the perfect stage for a start (and end too??) of season tournament - the facilities were of the highest order and I especially want to thank all the gatekeepers for keeping us (and our chattels) secure.

So many memories to bank, but the drama of the semi final penalty shoot out was a hysterical highlight - I suspect crowd calls for penalties will be up there with 'golden goal' and 'there's no time' from here on in... :)

The Bristol tournament last year was 5G's first game together and we didn't even qualify for the Sunday games - this year we make our first proper podium and a Manchester team's best result to date - hard to take in right now! I found myself apologising to most teams we scrapped a winning goal against on Sunday (except Andre of course... ;) ) but maybe we can avoid being a flash in the pan next time out.

Thanks of course to my massive teamsters - it was a joy sit back in goal and watch Chan play so consistently strong all day - his enthusiasm and passion for polo knows no bounds and some of that X-factor majik may just be rubbing onto Em...

  • MVP

Not surprised at 5G's result. They've been the hardest working team in the UK for the past year IMO.

  • i had a LOT of fun this weekend - great tournament and thanks to cardiff for adopting me :)

  • thanks bristol for the great tourney i had a good
time love the courts and all good vibes from every one
    thanks

  • Not surprised at 5G's result. They've been the hardest working team in the UK for the past year IMO.

+1, and Mr Kawasaki has probably driven more polo miles than anyone!

  • Great weekend!! Thanks Bristol for all your hard work to make a smooth running and fun tournament! Caspar, you are a legend for putting us up. Courts were ace, games were clean and it was funny to be the biggest player on my team - cheers for the 'small but strong' prize :) Super proud of Stabbath for absolutely bossing it in some of their games, bad luck on golden goal third place playoff but 5G were awesome too!

Oh and Saturday night... what has been seen cannot be unseen.

  • This weekend reminded me why I love polo so much and also how welcoming you all are. Thank you Bristol & rappers. Sorry about the result, thems the breaks. Semi-final was incredible, the look on Chan's face as he scored that sweet smart shot was priceless, best player and best game, in my book, all weekend! Closely followed by Josh Wild, pull those shorts up. xx

  • Respect to the Bristol crew for yet another awesome tourney! Love the courts, the width adds a whole new dimension to the game. Completely overwhelmed and stoked to get MVP, thanks to whoever voted for me - really didn't expect that! It was the icing on the cake of my most memorable tournament to date.

Huge respect and thanks to my G's, Neil's guidance and ruthless training regimes, Em's commitment, pace and shooting are was got us 2nd place. Super proud of you. Really hope i'm playing at Neil's level when i'm 52!!

Great to watch teams like WRISTS doing so well too. Mya certainly earn't her MVP, some slick link up play with Matt. Congrats to Spring Fake on the win, the final was a bit of a blur after the drama of the BS penalty game. Far too many highlights to list, can't wait to see fast Andy choke on the highlights video ;)

  • i should also say big thanks to johnH for his generosity of time, bringing the goals up for us, fixing everyones mallets and prizes.
