Were they functioning frames, or already damaged?

cutting them in half, respraying them ... and then use them as a chair...

Cornelo was damaged in such a way that it would be really expensive to have it repaired. Don't know about the Gazelle, but whatever, here in the Netherlands we have those frames everywhere.. Nice little project man!

Yes of course they were damaged. Maybe I should of stated that. The Cornelo downtube & top tube has got a large bulb from a nasty front impact & the gazelle has a cracked seat tube. Both where beyond the sense of repair as it didn't make financial sense. And yes your correct (peanut butter), these are pretty common low end 531 steel frames.

Phew...
I can put the puppy defibrillator away!
I have had 2 beater frames sitting in my shed for a while, looking sad as they will never be built. I have decided to make a little project from them, cut them in half and make them into bar stool / chairs or as my gf wants to make one into a candle holder. Im not too sure if this has been done before, but I expect so!!
Next step is to clean up around the lugs and give the frames and good clean. I may respray one of them but am not too sure at this stage as I will loose the originality of the paint & decals.
