But does it matter what state the list is in? Isn't it just one of those therapeutic lists to help people to feel that they belong and have a little bit of forum territory that they've marked?
Or is this blasphemy?
Why else are we on here, other than to be part of it?

I'm going for a bike ride not a coach trip.

I thought about doing this ride for three years and then finally I did it last year. Oh how I wished I hadn't procrastinated those previous years. Had a fantastic time. middleofnowhere and ramaye had the perfect strategy for the ride and we all enjoyed a good old pub session at the end.
Registered and now to work on my lovely wife to get another cycling related weekend escape signed off.
Not sure we want you tagging along with us this year, I thought your run down the beach and quick swim looked a bit too easy last year. Never suspected you were one of 'them' though.

Shall be giving this a try for the first time this year.
Slightly more worrying I have convinced the Missus to come along as well. I think the longest ride she has done is a 20 km ride in a tri! Time for some long weekend rides.

Will be my first Dynamo and about twice as far as I've ever ridden in one day, although much less hilly.
Better get some long rides under my belt first.
Looking forward to it a lot.

Don't worry, it's over two days. Saturday night and Sunday morning :)

How lumpy is it? Is 46/16 fixed doable or would 42/16 be a better choice?
-
• #148
Mostly rolling.
I had 47/17 last year which is 74gi ish.
Was fine. I was riding with people on lower gearing and it got to be hard work riding/spinning more slowly than I wanted. -
• #149
Low to mid 70s is fine. No major hills. I tend to use 42/15.
