1982 Holdsworth Avanti, 23" Reynolds 531 frame and forks. Excellent condition paint work except for 2 rust patches on the top tube (see pic). Appears to have had little use and kept indoors most of its life.
Drive chain appears to have no wear and it's quite greasy so i figure who ever has had it has looked after it. stem and seat post are free moving and not seized.
Silstar cranks, again no wear to chain rings, 15 speed suntour gears, more modern 105 brake levers, weinmann calipers and San Marco squadra saddle.
700c front wheel in nice condition with a new gatorskin tyre, rear is for some reason a 27 budget wheel with a big continental touring tyre.
i dont know why this is, i suspect the original got stolen.
Totally rideable but has scope for improvement should you want to.
£165
mid 80s Peugeot Classique. Hard to find info on this bike, i believe it was a South African import.
It has been upgraded in its life time before i got it.
24" frame,
shimano 600 hubs,
600 gears (105 derailleur),
600 calipers,
Aero Gran Compe levers,
600 headset,
Mavic MA2 front rim,
DRC st17 elegant ii rear rim with no wear,
Mavic look pedals,
I suspect the cranks are Stronglight,
6 speed close ratio cassette,
Strong Japan seat post,
Kusuki stem,
Cosmos bars,
Continental Ultra sport tyres which appear to have little wear.
Stem and seat post are free moving and not seized.
I suspect the tubing is Vitus of some sort although i don't know for sure, even so its pretty light.
Has been resprayed professionally to a good standard.
only issue is that it doesn't have a lock ring on the headset, the steerer is too short.
i suspect since the 600 headset is fairly bulbous, and i think its an upgrade on the original, it simply didn't fit the original fork length and it just went without.
although it has not posed a problem when riding.
no evidence at all of being crashed.
could do with tape and saddle matching to look its best.
£195
I am in Brighton so can meet at the train station or bring to London maybe if my fare is paid in advance.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
