  • I bought this frame and i'v been gooooogling.
So far, what i think is true. I need help here, so please correct me.

    It's from '95
    It's custom paint

So does custom paint means that's impossible to find another frame with the same paint?

    What is it worth?

If you got any info on this or other things, please let me know.

    Thanks.
    Daniel

  • fully built up with nice period parts you're looking at over a grand

these older kleins are very sought after .. maybe try retrobikes MTB section and you'll get a lot more good answers and accurate info

  • Yours is a Trek Klein and not the purists favourite:-
Note the different head tube and stem bar combo.
The paint used to be signed by the painter somewhere usually on the l/h chainstay. I think on the later ones like yours they may have stopped doing this. The paint still adds a premium, but the "comp" is a slightly inferior frame to the originals because Trek required several compromises once they bought out Klein. Then they trashed the whole company, as it was competition.

  • Oh, it's not from 95, which is the "cut off" date for the classics as Trek bought the company that year, it is probably a 99

  • Okay. Thanks guys!

  • If i was to sell the frame, where should i start the bidding?

  • 1p buy it now sold to saddle oh yes =)
