Just ran that gearing through Sheldon Brown, and it's a bit less than my 44x16, but if it's mostly flat I'd probably be ok with that. Any long stretches uphill and I find even gears in the low 70s start to really burn though, and there's only so much mashing you can do over 100 miles!
