Before I go down the hideously dull route of making an ad on Autotrader I'm checking here to see whether there might be any interest in my old banger.
2001 Ford Focus Zetec turbo Diesel
1800 cc
This is an old beast. Proper workhorse - which someone might want for a run around to chuck stuff in and basically misuse. It's got - wait for it - 140,000 fabulous miles on the clock. Here's the skinny:
Runs like a beaut. I've never had a problem starting it since I bought it 5 years ago. These old Ford Diesels will go. Still a good motorway car which is quite a laugh when you want it to be. Airbags, power steering and immobiliser.
Other than that it's shite:
Service history? Bitty.
Central locking you say? Don't be daft. You can open it with a key on the driver's side.
Air Con? Of course..... sort of. Still chills but only blows at max setting - so no gentle breeze for you.
MOT? June 23. That said I haven't been botching or ignoring and it shouldn't have any major issues. Wipers, lights and brakes are all tickety boo. I just can't be arsed with it any more as I've completely and utterly run out of money.
Bodywork? No big issues but it's tatty. Couple of dents in the roof, scratches and scuffs but I've not pranged it and nothing's falling off. Plus it's dark green! What's not to love?
Stereo? Good actually! I bunged an ipod job in there when I bought it so you can scroll through your tracks without digging the phone or ipod out and driving like a bell end. The speakers aren't bad either. If you're old skool and you want the original tape deck back. I lost it. Sorry.
It's got a clutch like a 1980s transit but it runs smooth enough and if I had any funds I'd run it til it dies, but they're going to want their insurance money off me come June and I can't renew it so it's cheerio.
Pics on here if anyone actually shows any sign of giving a fuck but it's a green focus so just wander out onto your street and look around - you'll see one. This car is big and useful. You can get loads of shit in the back with the seats down or up.
