Just seen there is an Ostgut Ton vs 50 Weapons night tomorrow at Peckham Palais
-
• #803
The afterparty is on the Stubnitz too. Think I'm going to skip Peckham and do that instead.
-
• #804
The Stubnitz is cool, but beware the beer prices, when I went they were charging £5 a pint
-
• #805
Yeah I've been a couple of times, it was £3.50 for a glass from memory.
Although most people were drinking water...

Stunning Steve Rachmad mix, over 4 hours. Loads of deep techno, half the Basic Channel back catalogue appears to feature.

Did anyone make it along to the blueprint night at cable on Fri / Sat? Went for the breakfast session and caught DVs1 / Ben Klock. Both awesome.

I really wanted to go, but I'm having to reign it in with post-grad work to do. Had to miss Surgeon and Peter van Hoesen last night too, fml.

I know that feeling, if for the purse strings if nothing else. I was a bit peeved at the door attitude mind. If you advertise it as something going on until 11am you should expect people to arrive at 6, and then if you advertise a late price you should stick to it. They were charging people £20 to get in! I luckily managed to get on a friends GL space otherwise i would have gone home.
I've never managed to get to see surgeon. I'm considering going after field day to the bloc night.I

I'd be bang up for that, alas I will have flown south for the summer...
Sandwell District and RRose in a couple of weeks is tempting though

Brill article about House of God. Russ Abbot ftw.
-
• #816
Cheers for the link, wish I went to the last one but sorely tempted by the one in June.

those were the days, early HOG, proper rave but with a deep techno sensibility
-
• #818
I thoroughly enjoyed the last Hog, looking forward to the next one, though I will have to tone down the amount of beer drunk next time as my memories of the night are vague to say the least :D
Been going to that place for about 17 years and its still as much fun as it used to be though its a good job they only have a couple of nights a year

not to mention 3hrs of Objekt! i wish i could but i have to attend a friends bday.
Anyone going to Lucy Tonight at Crucifix?

You missed out, was a good night. Morphosis' set was some next level DJ'ing, the way he uses loops throughout his set to thicken up the sound, creating this disarming cacophony of sound is utterly captivating. Container was amazing too.

Sounds great. I can't complain about my night at Bussey, plenty of hipster house and garage with some hotflush and hypercolour DJs.
Now how do i get a free ticket to Rodhad in Hearn carpark this weekend.
-
• #823
going Rodhad and Mr G on Saturday, anyone else?
-
• #824
I got tickets to see Villalobos instead :( Rodhad is a great dj.

mate (recent techno convert) saw him in NY and has been lauding it over me like he's some messiah! rodhad belongs in the hipster thread.
the night (onemore) got DVS1 end of june at the same venue. he's my #1 want to see DJ so will be booking sunday unless they completely oversell saturday night.
