There was also a Dulwich Paragon rider this morning (full kit, Ti road bike) heading North, just at the bend before E&C. I was in the middle of the bus lane watching a grey Skoda Octavia indicate left as he wanted to head down towards Kennington. I knew there was about 50yrds of bus lane left but I thought, "this guy might pull in a bit early" and he did. No harm done really, I was well aware and just as I was glancing over my shoulder, about to move out to the next lane as I was heading right at the roundabout, I see the aforementioned DP rider coming past so I let him go before moving. He then pulls up alongside the Skoda and gives him the usual WTF signals. Completely unnecessary. Yes the guy used the bus lane a bit early but I was the closest cyclist to him and had plenty of time to see what he was doing and did not feel in anyway endangered. The driver then of course remonstrated with the DP rider and they had a bit of a verbal exchange. The DP rider then moved forward to the ASL and proceeded to take a picture of the front of the car. Again, this would have achieved nothing, all it proved was that the car was sitting perfectly legally at the traffic lights and it just pissed the driver off. The driver was then cut up by a Boris Biker who had been over on the left then decided they wanted to turn right when the lights changed. Hopefully the driver didn't take out his rage for these two dicks on somebody else further down the road.
