looks like your welder has done a grand job, but for future, can't recommend enough giving the caustic soda treatment a go on alloy seatposts in steel frames. with a little care, can avoid any damage to paintwork, let alone frame.
there is also a really nice peugeot slx frame for sale in another post for £20 because seattube was a bit mangled by trying to get out a stuck seatpost. sad to see as can be often be avoided relatively easily...

I avoided soda as I thought t would inflict too much damage on the paint work, was practically done clean
until the dremel slipped

wow. that master is a seriously solid effort and bad luck on the dremel!
with the soda, if the paint is in ok condition to start with, a layer of electrical tape around the top of the seat tube and stays seems to do a pretty good job protecting. then having the frame upside down and plugging the top of the seat tube. i'm nowhere near brave enough to pull out the power tools!

had a bastard alloy stuck seatpost, stuck fast,
upon extraction, and small hole/peorcing was made in the seat tube around the rear at the top,
duly tig repaired by the same chaps who tig my old master rd hanger, which now resides happily in Japan
area inside tube ,
could poss do with retouching around said are as current finish is a little lumpy
