any suggestions for new jeans for me?
must be at least 15oz, and around 150 pounds, I struggle to find some in my size and fit though - 27-28 waist and long skinny legs.
I'm in copenhagen, but not afraid to order online, if enough info and measurements are available. -

Karmaloop might have something. I'm pretty happy with how my Naked&Famous are getting along.
The waist is generous though

nothing there for me, but thanks.
I will post a more thought out request in a moment.

I've recently tried on a pair of Pike Brothers jeans and they really tickled an itch for new denim. They were just about perfect in all aspects, including especially the price, and I would have bought them if it were not for the fact that the smallest size was still about a size and a half too big. And sanforized, bummer.
So after a lot of online research, I think I know what I want.
requirements:
indigo raw selvedge
at least 15oz, more is welcome.
29" waist post stretch
at leat 34" inseam
leg opening max 7"
smooth textureI'm not a revivalist, but I like the more (quasi-)heritage oriented brands and looks rather than the more novelty fashion brands you see out there in the proper jeans world.
my budget is 170 pounds tops, but that also has to include shipping and taxes.

Any of you guys got much experience with ordering through rakuten? Is it just like a japanese ebay? Are there lots of fake momotaros and pure blue japans floating about?

Went a bit silly. Picked up some Edwin ED 55s and a pair of Redwing boots.
Feels very nice to be back in stiff denim. Also the 55s are the first pair of selvedge that fit the way I want (always hard to find with big and short legs).

^exactly the same for me. My 55s are the only jeans that I've ever owned that fit exactly as I want to.

Is there anywhere in London that sells selvage jeans in denim that's got an almost hairy texture? In the past I remember reading about some Japanese brands that made jeans like this, then yesterday I saw a pair and the denim looked pretty awesome - didn't think to ask the owner, we were both getting tattooed at the time.

tb, I guess you'll be in the Frith St area from the tattoo thread (Valerie's tattooing me at the moment as well) so maybe check out the Rivet and Hide pop up shop at Apt 58. Danny is a good guy and he stocks lots of really good denim. Dates:
We will be there on the following dates between 1130 & 1630.
Wednesday April 10th Tuesday April 16th Tuesday April 23rd
Thursday April 11th Thursday April 18th Thursday April 25th
Friday April 12th Friday April 19th Friday April 26th

Hmm there's a kickstarter with japanese raw denim.

I just threw in for the 16oz ones. Figured $95 is a good deal. The normal ones are 13oz. Hopefully they are good :)

Interesting concept, but there's been complaints about the sewing not up to standard. They are actually stitched up here in SF (in Soma by Skyblue). Still, I really should stop buying jeans

9oz summer jeans, that's quite tempting

^ I finally put my Ironhearts away yesterday and LVCs feel like linen trousers in comparison.

How do you wear those? Must feel like walking around in mud

I'm debating the 9oz as well. Temp here in SF is all over the place though. 22 in the day, 5 at night.
