why do people have bar tape or something owraped around the top tube

Is that bar tape on the 3rensho?
Or are they grips?

FYI That's not bartape, that's a kashimax top tube protector, and it avoids dings from the handlebar hitting the top tube.

When I built one I hated how it looked!

I can honestly say that thin strip of bar tape on that Bianchi will prevent absolutely nothing if the bars struck the top tube!

Shame to see that frame with such a lacklustre build... wasted.

I'm gonna get it boxed up and sent to Jack next week so not long!

Sadly i've just sold the HED3 to help sort a few things out here and there... starting the funding for fixing that too.

Jacks got a pal who can check the tubing, whether its bent or what not, shape it and reinforce it if needs be then jack and I are gonna see about doing some half half paint job...

They're on racescene for about 800... think I might have to wait around for a 2nd hand one haha
