Bought a half link - the right thing?

Newbie question. Finishing off my first fixed gear conversion and realised I need a half link for my 1/8" chain.

Got one from the LBS nearest my work, but it doesn't look like what I was expecting... Should I swap it for a more traditional one? Advice on installation appreciated!

Duh. Yeah that's what I was expecting... Cheers, I'll pick up a proper one on the way home and finally get out riding on the thing!
