I know how to make it water repellent again. Not much use in the middle of my commute though :(

hmm i have both nikkwax and graingers proofing at home but neither have really worked all that well
i didn't tumble dry, i did iron, still no water beading though ?

Actually it is true, I can name parents who own tumble dryers. The stamenswas logically ambiguous as to whether it was stating ALL parents or THERE EXIST parents.

Is this turning into an anti tumble dryer thread ?

Mine's a condenser tumble dryer. It is one of the best things I have ever spent £199 on. Plus it doesnt cost to run as much as you may think.
I am grateful I have it, felt guilty to begin with but with 2 kids and 2 cyclists in the house, it is a much loved and used item. ( plus you dont need to iron stuff thats been tumbled)
