Gearing is a personal thing that'll depend on your riding style, your fitness level, and where you ride. I'd say try riding it fixed and see how the gearing suits. Its probably cheaper to swap out fixed cogs to experiment than freewheels. Also beware of some of the cheaper freewheels like dicta that have no way to remove them.
