  • You really need foot retention riding brakeless!

You can get away with not having it if you have a brake but even then it's recommended!

  • dude, iv been riding brakeless for 6 years now and iv been fine. I did say I had some toe straps to put on but just haven't got round to doing it. and with the weather like it is at the moment id rather use my car. so no mad rush.don't think hostility was needed.

  • Ok man, just watch out.

  • id rather use my car.

Don't think you're really in the right place mate.

  • im fine in the mean time. as long as im not riding stupid fast.

What's the point of a pursuit bike if you're not going to ride fast?

  • Don't think you're really in the right place mate.

so what your saying is nobody on here has a car?
dude I do a lot of driving for my job and don't plan on cycling 55 miles every day in the snow and wind.
I have a great interest and love for fixed gear bikes, but it doesn't mean my life revolves around them.

  • I didn't say I wasn't going to ride it fast, iv just last week built it, and its my first pursuit and I haven't really had the chance to ride it as im working away atm.

What's the point of a pursuit bike if you're not going to ride fast?

  • I don't think you get the point we are making, a bike without proper brakes/foot retention wont be taken seriously here, it's just as important as any other part, if not more.

I just haven't got round to putting the straps on yet.

  • before you even think about riding it needs them.
It puts you and everyone you interact with on the road at risk.

  • if he knows what he's doing, just let him be.
It's just a bike ffs, and most of you start sounding like fucking pensioners and mamils

    ha. this.

but seriously. get foot retention, it's more fun. and safer.

  • And you can do huge bunnyhops.

  • well I have some toe clips to put on it, but im fine in the mean time. as long as im not riding at an average speed.

    Fixed.

    Don't exaggerated.

  • where are you riding discocristo?

  • around cleethorpes grimsby. n.e lincolnshire.

  • I was hoping you would say like suburbs of Florida or something.

its a nice build though man, you built it up nice, but the lack of toe clips and straps just boggles the mind.

  • cheers dude. the clips and straps are going on! jeezz la weezz. ha

  • we're just concerned
    like new parents

    godammit, we care, alright !
