Paul bb works as chainline can be adjusted a couple of mm.
I just buy up all the 314's whenever I get a chace. Have a nearly nos in my tarck bike and a spare nos one just in case. Cups in decent nick seem to be harder to find than axles for me.
The axle is assymetrical with the drive side being ever so slightly longer but not immediately noticable.
