Hello you lot, I need some advice.
I have cracked the seattube just by the clamp on my frame (an 853 Peugeot CX frame). The crack was also made worse when my flatmate rode it to work (without asking). The crack is about 3/4 inch long.
I am assuming that the repair will set me back around £100 minimum and will knacker the powdercoat.
So I wonder, is it worth repairing or should I just move on and buy a new frame set? Should I take the crack as a sign that the frame might be fucked anyway (it had been raced).

If I go for frame only, is running inch forks in an inch 1/8th heat tube (with appropriate spacers) bad in any way?
