Re, the Atala on the previous page...
I did the brakes on my belleville bars like this:Cross-top lever with a bent ferule thing from a set of mtb brakes.
Never understood why people use bar-end levers on porteur bars; I think it looks a bit daft and must be awkward to use. -

Campag omegas - now that's a fucking mint looking rim
Atlanta 96's laced to DA 7600 - one of the nicest wheel builds ever.i had (unused) campa omega v's laced to (unused) DA 7600 in my cdale track, lovely wheelset (missing it a bit).

Very neat work.
That's a cross top right?
Also what is the tape? I have some old stuff like that knocking around and was wondering where to find it.

[*]IMPORTANT: how can I install my brakecables on these Tektro inverse levers without using force and destroy the route because the radius is too tight?
What do you mean too tight? I can't see any problem you've mentioned, no different to drop handlebar that have an aggressive radius yet still work perfectly.

The dream. Right there.

I'm just a huge fan of that grey ano. Got some MA40s on 7400 as part of a group set and they are teh sex. TB14s seem to do the grey ano, low profile look well.
Some day..
BTW, before I make a sale thread - anyone want to buy my Velocity Aero x 7600?
Never seen a brake.

A few people were interested in this, only a few little things to do - steerer cutting, gear indexing, shock tuning etc.

Yup, cross top.
Tape came with some other bars, I think it's just cheapy raleigh stuff:

things to decide:
[]original Wingnuts? Dont want my wheels get taken away but they look pretty rad
[]how do I mount the headbadge I found on ebay.it for 10€? shall I drill holes and rivet it inside or just glue it on?
[*]IMPORTANT: how can I install my brakecables on these Tektro inverse levers without using force and destroy the route because the radius is too tight?
[]I've redone the stickers in Illustrator. "Handmade in Italy" slogan still missing, but printing them would cost 35€...any good?
[]is there any minimalistic chainguard that you can recommend? riding Shimano 600 Arabesque crankset
thanks for your help...Wing nuts might look rad but don't hold nearly as well as actual nuts, never mind a decent QR.
2 part epoxy works wonders, no ned to drill.
DIY chain guard could pretty easily be made from ge-fucked chain ring, bonus of low weight and your choice of cut outs. -

That marque's looking pretty much like the bike I want but can't justify
-
• #75918
Cheers. It feels 'right' just sitting on it, in a way my Turner never fully did (although that was great downhill). Bit heavy, but cycling up and down the road it pedalled very nicely.

Chain guard or just a guard ring? If the latter, what size ring are you using at the moment? I'm going to have a 45T Alfine guard ring going spare soon. Like this but black. SJSC do similar ones in 42t and 50t sizes for about £20

Re-doing the cockpit on my gf's new Joe Waugh.
It's getting black hooded cane creek levers and compact bars, but...what bar tape?!
I can't make up my mind.
Maybe blue again?
Maybe dark grey to match the century finish 105 stuff?
Maybe black?
Maybe pink?
Maybe something else....help me out here.

White. It's summer.
-
• #75922
Could do with some spotter bars! looks very stretched out.
black or white would easily match, the blue don't really match to well, could possible pull of pink if done well.
-
• #75923
yeah summer. i remember that...
it's getting rose bars (and a shorter, black stem).
any more votes?
