I'm currently trying to get insurance on my bike and am a total novice to this. I'm being asked to get a valuation on it but because it's an old bike i'm struggling to find anywhere that will do it. Anyone got any suggestions ? I'm currently lucky enough that i can store by bike inside the building i work in but we're moving as of Monday so i really need to get something sorted by then.
Any help would be great. I have flicked back through here and called a couple of places but keep coming up against the "you need a valuation". One place said that because of the age then it would have depreciation value of 50% from the day that the cover was taken out !!!!!!!
