confused about the bike, should I take the Rat (more comfortable with 48x17 fixed, 32c tyres, front disc brake, riser) or the nice bike? Caad 10; but then I'll have to get 25c tyres for it, get it checked by a a local shop (a basic service etc.) as it is due anyway.
I have done Brighton fixed on a bit too big for me uncomfortable bullhorns with 48X16 and I had to drag myself for the last 15 miles.
