Fallacious at best mate. What I paid for the frame itself has nothing to do with how it should be packaged. On the other hand I paid 14 quid for P&P and that's good enough to have it in a box.
I hope as you stated that the courier handled it properly but whether it was or not is anyone's guess, the only way to find out is to have it on a jig.
In the event that it is indeed misaligned, I do note that it is possible that it was already damaged before it was sent, but that's another matter. Will just have to wait and get it checked.

Plus the courier can now see what it is and knows its poorly packed, so could be more likely to be gentle with it. Putting stuff in boxes like de-itemizes it. its mentally easier to throw a box with something in you cant see than it is to throw a bike frame, seeing it damage.
