^^ I think that was one of the most frustrating things about creates. They didn't actually *have *to be shit.
Without trawling back through the thread, iirc the main issues were the chain and BB - hardly the most expensive parts. The wheels would have been a lot better if they'd gone for a less fancy looking design and stuck with a vanilla 36h x3.
Although most people think £199 for a new cool looking bike is good value for money, we all know that £350 will get you something much better, and £200 second hand is a lot to play with for a cheap runaround.
That said I know one that had a new crankset/BB and chain pretty much immediately has been going for years now.
