It's very easy to criticise out of context from a far. It makes me chuckle to see people buying into that... anything is prone to criticism, which means peoples opinions can be easily swayed in an instant.
What is really going on is that a 3 minute video cannot really show all the aspects of what really happened. In an effort to explain through commentary. He gives you the viewer too much information/takes away the option of coming up with your own ideas about what is going on... and you see it as him coming off as pretentious!
It's a shame that the only real recognition can be obtained through winning competitions with rules and regulations, but even those winners are prone to skepticism.
