I bought an Alan Aluminimum last week, it came as a box of bits so I am building it up at the moment. I managed to take it a ride along the street yesterday by screwing the derailleur up to lock it in second top gear. I have to admit it seems like a nice ride, just hope I can manage to complete the built soon.
Good luck with the sale

Beautiful bike! That radial spoked wheelset one of the nicest I ever saw

Thanks for the comments people.
I should point out - and you can see in the pics - a previous owner, who was clearly into saving grams, has chopped the bottom of the brake calipers off. This doesn't affect the performance at all, but feel I should point it out.

Went for a pedal on it yesterday and was SO good I've decided I'll keep it - not sure how to close this thread though. Admins?
Cheers for the interest though people; especially appreciated the low-ball offers!

Yes, am sure, this is a 1000 gbp bike
With a heavy heart I am selling my wonderful ALAN road bike. Leaving the country for a significant amount of time means I can only keep one of my lovely Italian road bikes and have chosen to keep my Colnago - as such, one of you lucky people has the chance to buy this one!
I bought ALAN off Orko2 (forum-ite) in summer last year. Have put in a fair few miles, including London to Brighton solo. It's a fantastic machine, very nice and light.
Some details:
Sizes:
Seat tube: 57 cm c-t
Top tube: 56 cm c-c
Components:
Shimano Dura ace groupset: fron/rearmech, crankset, calipers/levers, down tube shifters.
Rolls saddle, practically brand-new!
Very particular (and beautiful) wheelset, radial spoked, Alesa rims, GB hubs.
3TTT "MOD Competitizione" bars wrapped in blue Benotto tape.
Black Cinelli stem (unsure of the model number)
Since I got ALAN I replaced the gear and brake cables/housings with super-fancy Yokozuna gear (looks great): http://www.wiggle.co.uk/yokozuna-reaction-cable-system/
I also added the Dura-Ace pedals/clips. They don't quite match the group set but they're very very decent.
Finally, here are some photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dk2000yeah/sets/72157633119199134
As you can see from the pictures, the bike is in great condition overall but it's not a museum piece. It could do with a bit of a clean but way too cold out there at the moment for my liking!
I've just had it serviced at G-Whizz in Brighton, so all ready to go.
I'm based in Brighton (Hove actually). I am often in London for work so can possible meet there too.
Would prefer not to split and I've never posted a bike before but sure that can be arranged if needed.
Price: £450 with the pedals, £420 without.
