for 4 bolt chainrings the measurement is taken from opposite holes, not adjacent holes (and it should be 104mm)

yep 104mm across thanks Apollo. Its not going to go very small though is it? I gather with the 64/104 combo its the 64 bit that is micro.

I think the smallest you can get on 104bcd is 32t and for 64t is 22t

You can get a 31t 104 ring but they're pricey

If you go for 32 goldtec make a pretty good one for not too pricey
