Hello.
Raleigh never made 17" frames.
That'll be a 19.5", with 700 wheels. -

@57Hawkes- I've just measured it and you are correct, its a 19.5" frame. The other tape measure I used reads 17"??!!!
I've been working on the Raleigh recently. I bought a new front wheel, a 700c. This led to me to discover that the wheels off the donor bike were 27", which is why the clearances were so tight! Drop bars should be on it soon, I've got a set of road bars, but I really want some track bars.

I switched to an old set of drops. I have no spare tape, so I made some DIY sew ups quickly out of felt. IMO they don't look too bad, and they are only temporary.
Hi Guys,
I wanted a bike that I could scoot about on in any weather, mainly to school! The frame had been described as a 21" frame but when I got it, it was 17" :/. I had a donor bike, a Dawes Warick, that I transplanted most of the parts on to the Equipe. Future plans include a respray, and drop bars are coming soon!

Donor Dawes
The names Equipe!
Test for clearence with 27" Wheels. As its such a small frame the 27" wheels are proper fag paper clearances!
Then I had loads of exams so it got put on hold, now it's this-
