Already have one of those on my Pompetamine but it's not quite the look I'm after for a new project :)

why dont you just spray it black?
the only place the paint will be scratched off by chain will still be covered in black oil and lube anyway, there is no other point of contact on the cog is there...

Don't think I'd get the bolts done up without it flaking off.
