It's official, I am in love with this bike, here is why.
A chap I work with, we'll call him errrr Mr. M.
Mr. M has over £2000 worth of bike and equipment from Halford's. His tyres are pumped upto the correct pressure for optimum performance which he goes on about all day and how fast he is on the bike.
I'm not a 'quick' rider as such, but I can shift when I need to. Anyway, 6.30pm came, home time. He got changed into his lycra and his filled up his aero bottles for the 5 mile commute home, I unlocked my bike from outside, slung my bag on my back and off I went, taking a casual pace. about 5 minuets later he comes past me panting and sounding like he's going to die shouting "catch up" to me. So, I did. He was going flatout and I breezed past him on my 60 odd quid bike made from parts I found in my workshop. He never did catch me up, it got to the point where I couldn't even see him anymore on London road (a real straight road).
The next day he was giving it the "I was warming up still" "my brakes where rubbing" etc etc.
Second reason I love this bike is that I can lock it anywhere and not worry. I spent a good £50 on lock and cable ensuring no scumbag can steal MY bike. I've theft-proof everything.
Oh, you want to steal my saddle? Good fucking luck.
You really fancy my bar and stem? Cool story bro, have a go at stealing them.
