Strangely my worst eposode with Royal Mail was a watch which i left in a local jewellers for repair. They posted the watch - Special Delivery from Northern Ireland (here) to England for the repair to be done. In the process, the watch was stolen. The jeweller phones me and they offered me £1250 for the watch wihci i accepted, they were then going to claim from Royal Mail. This seems a similar situation. The watch never turned up - it was Zenith Defy with a stainless steel bracelet and the writing on the white dial was in French/Swiss - on the off chance that anyone has seen it. It was a 21st birthday present and i was rather annoyed about losing it through no fault of my own. I would like to contact the thief and let him know of my annoyance!!!!!!!
