Evening all. I bought this frame for myself on a recent trip to South Africa, but I think I got a bit overexcited with finding such a tasty frame out there I didn't think much about the size; it's definitely too small for me, so I'm gonna pass it on.
Although I'm sure that it is a Viner, due to the cross cutouts in the lugs (as outlined in this article http://vineristi.wordpress.com/2011/09/10/the-mystery-of-stars-and-crosses/), it looks like it may have been renovated at some point, as it has a 'special professional' decal on the chainstay whereas this looks more like a 'special corsa'. It also has a Columbus Tretubi decal, which may or may not be accurate? Could be 531 tubing if it is a Special Corsa. If anyone has any more info then let me know.
All this said, it's a lovely frame, and very nicely finished in a lovely flamboyant deep red. It's undrilled front and rear, and has very close clearances with 23c tyres. Campag dropouts front and rear. Unfortunately the drive side downtube decal has a nasty scrape through it, but there's no dent...in fact there's no dents or dings anywhere.
Seat tube 57 c-t
Top tube 55.5 c-c
Seat post 27.0 (i have a 'strong' post i could throw in with it)
Stronglight Needle bearing headset included
SOLD for £1,000,000,000
The frame is at Fitzrovia Bicycles, feel free to swing by and take a look. Dibs followed by PM.
