Think I may have killed two pairs of my black Carhartt roper pants... Bit of a shame as they're the only trousers I wear... Any other suggestions for cheapish black selvage denim?

Toying with the idea of dyeing my APCs, got two pairs that I've never worn... They were cheap...

Uniqlo is your friend (assuming they're still doing their japanese selvedge denim).
