Anything after 08:00 is an after dinner mint.

  • Savoy Hill/Savoy Steps - scene of Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan.

"The pump don't work cos the vandals took the handle" but this one was taken for the good of the public...

  • Thank you Simon and Nick, worth getting up early in the cold for!

  • Oh, we made it too easy!

  • Damn!
    That was a fast turnaround!

  • Not at all, they're only easy if you know them. I hope mine's not too difficult to tempt someone out for a snowy ride.

  • Medical theme!

  • Is the blue filter another clue?

  • Broadwick St.

Identified by John Snow as the source of the 1854 Cholera outbreak, who had its handle removed.

  • Hah, the 'Byke Tag' sign at Savoy steps is a nice touch. I had absolutely no idea that the alley in the Dylan film was there. Great tag Ludd.

    ^1954?! you sure about that?

^^the pump from which father of epidemiology John Snow removed the handle is on Broadwick Street, Soho. It was called Broad Street back then I do believe.

  • Don't know what you're talking about ;)

  • The replica pump was erected in 1992. "The original pump was sited at the junction of Broad Street and Cambridge Street (today Lexington Street), close to the back wall of what today is the John Snow pub." A house on the corner of Broadwick and Marshall Street was the birthplace and childhood home of William Blake... well you learn something new everyday!

  • Ha! No, the blue is a result of a new phone that i don't know how to use.
