    interesting site.

    After speaking with upstart the other night I understand that dynamos have come a long way since I used to borrow my Dad's sit up and beg with the horrible friction thing which robbed most of your power.

    However, my research leads me to believe that there must still be some drag - because some some hubs come switchable. Also, there are lots of places they're sold, but not many practical "reviews" for the un-initiated.

    I'd be interested to know from someone who has ridden them what theyre like and what the real world feel is like. I'm not super keen on something that is going to contribute to my raggedness. However, if I can get find something that would provide a trickle charge for garmin/phone during daylight and then power a light at night - that would address a lot of problems.
