So although I'm not phased by 100 miles - the Dean, which I DNS'd this morning along with 99.5% of the entrants - would have been about my longest ride at 180+ miles. Thus, I'd like this build to also address some of the concerns and complexities of riding more or less continuously for 5 days.
For instance: I already own a great exposure light, but even if I buy an extender, I dont know if I can charge it at controls....... so how do I keep riding after the first night? Hopefully this thread can draw on the knowledge of some other people to answer these questions.
In the mean time, some more pics are in order.
Forks are 1" a-head, with Canti brakes. More on this subject to follow, I suspect.
frame (and forks as far as I know) are 631. Good enough to ride the hell out of, but not so utterly inspiring as to feel guilty when I ride it in the wind, rain, hail etc.
