Over the last few years I've really enjoyed discovering some of the european countryside on a bike.
It's the perfect speed to pass through a landscape. Fast enough to travel, but slow enough to be able to take in the scenery and appreciate the beauty. Sometimes it can even be fun. So it is that I took a leap of stupidity and entered a very long bike ride this year.
I already own a sunday best keeper bike, which would be more than suitable for a nice long ride, except that I have a feeling I'd trash it.
Plus I've always been fond of owning a Bob.
So it is that I came upon this and decided it would make the perfect project. A Bob Jackson World tour (OTP) in kermit green.
The plan is to make it into an audax / light tourer, that may in the future, from time to time, be called upon to perform some off-road CX type misadventures. It's unlikely to be called into action for heavy touring any time soon, but some light tours could definitely be on the cards.
