will double check for a serial (frame's at work). whatever the frame is it's not a Domenics originally (see OP)

Frame and forks for sale. Bit of a story behind this so for those who just want the price and size without the essay:
£80 posted, frame, fork, bastardised headset. 54cm c-c top tube
So. Previous owner bought this in Italy from some old lady and then drove it back to England. No idea how she got it, but I did some research and found out it originally came from a bike shop in Arizona called Domenics (geddit?). They apparently bought these frames then had them sprayed up in shop colours. Some of the frames were Masi, others Tommasini. When I enquired (sent them photos) as to which this was, I got the following from their employee Jeff...
"Is there an M cut-out on the underside of the bottom bracket? yes...it's a Masi. No...it's a Tomassini. Nobody else made Domenics bikes. That's about all I can tell you about it. But it did come from this shop. Domenic imported thousands of these frames. Gotta be 15-20 years old."
So, checking the BB, cutouts but no M = a Tommasini
It has Campy rear dropouts, though one tensioner is missing and the other is ceased. No biggie, I rode it fixed with no slippages and sure with a bit of elbow grease you can remover the ceased one and get new pins. Fork has some writing on it but can't make it out. Have a hunch that it's original to the frame though. Nice, simple lugwork and chrome on driveside chainstay (slightly pitted but not bad).
Internal cable routing for rear brake and for rear mech cable (runs through chainstay).
BB threads are Italian and clean (selling a Miche square taper for it in another post). Head set is grindy and half Shimano 600 half Raleigh mtb. It works but probably new owner would want to replace.
Paintwork is not great. You can see from some of the pics where once it was a cool fluoro green. Wish they'd left it like that!
I had every intention of getting this stripped and repainted but it's just too small, hence reluctant sale.
Any questions just ask.
