There is an overwellming reason to keep rep/nerg.
Most people like it and it does no serious damage (as it is in fact totally meanings).
I remember being totally disheartened to discover my first neg... Till I realised it meant nothing.
At the same time it's nice to look at the list of my reps and be reminded of how awesomely funny I can be.
The question I'd pose is why remove it when it makes a lot of people happy?
