Ok, I am off to see Denver at On Your Bike on Saturday where he will give my errant Crosscheck a proper talking-to ("you've let Brixton Cycles down, you've let Surly down, you've let Shimano down, but most of all, you've let yourself down") and making it rideable again.
It does mean I won't be able to make your Fireflies-based training ride but tbh you nearly killed me with that same route only a few months ago so I am now wise to your dirty, hilly, tricks.
