Hippy, of course I have travel insurance, I'd just rather not have to bother with the hassle of using it.

An S2 is probably an equivalent of an iphone 4, but better.

Buy a ruggedised phone, sell it when you get back. JCB, of all people, do a ruggedised Android device.
