On Sunday I cycled from Devizes to Little Bedwyn, about 23 miles. It started snowing just before I set off and it stopped well after I'd finished. It took me about 2 hours. I couldn't really brake very well due to the cold and couldn't see very well due to my glasses steaming up on the inside and snow on the outside. Some of the lanes were in a pretty poor condition and there were a fair few very large puddles.
I arrived at my destination wet and cold and then had to spend the rest of the afternoon not sat in a warm pub/cafe, not eating cake and not drinking alcoholic/hot drinks.
I was wearing walking boots, waterproof trousers, and a not-waterproof rain coat. It was very cold. It was very wet. It was not fun.
Really need to just go for a ride soon and not ride to get somewhere.
