Edscoble had neg rep for ages for the same thing.

In the new system I'm seriously thinking of making neg rep cost the person giving it 10x. That is... If a neg rep adds up to 10, then 100 rep points would be deducted from your rep. Seems fairer than having multipliers and would discourage neg rep... Is the equivalent of breaking your knuckles whenever you punch someone lightly.

What about those of us who don't throw around neg rep like the neg rep fairy with a bag full of sparkly pixie nerg dust?

The few people who have received neg rep from me tend to be the starters of ridiculous threads like those Pick Up Artist fuckwits. Perhaps there needs to be some consideration for the more discerning distributors of nerg.
