For Sale: Splendid Tarck Wheels - Mavic CXP14

No doubt I'll regret letting these go, but I need dosh for a new project....
Asking £80 - which is less than I paid for the rims

These were my Sunday-Best wheels for the Bob Jackson, used for big rides & summer commuting so they're in good condition.

Rims are CXP14 - the most elegant of the CXP range if you ask me - no MSW nice satin finish and smooth aero profile.

Both rims were purchased as NOS, but the front was used on a road bike for a while, hence the brake block marks - rear is still pretty mint.

Front hub is one of the old Primato's from when they looked good. Bearings are past their best and could probably use a replacement at some stage.

Rear hub is an unknown Flip-flop, 120mm OLN, pretty beefy and in good condition - no idea who made it, but the finish quality is pretty nice, and it takes sealed cartridge bearings.
Lockring is included - I think it's an italian thread as I tried a Dura Ace ring for size and it no fit.

Front wheel is laced 32 Radial with DT spokes, rear is 36 3x, can't remember what spokes they are.

To me, the CXP14 is the king of the 90's Mavic Aero. The only rim that beats it is the fir rialto. I've got CXP33's and CXP30's and it's way nicer looking than either of them largely due to lack of MSW

Happy to sell just the rims for £65 if you want!
