I wouldn't say that. How would a nicker know what BB it had? And use language like "laced onto XYZ hubs"?
-
• #7
Thats what I thought. What do people think to the price???

I've seen Michel BBs with the brand on the cup, or he could just guess that it matches the cranks.
An experienced fence would throw in extra details to reassure potential buyers. Where and when did he buy it, how much was it originally?

This is why I posted this on here. It all sounds a little dubious really. I have been trying to find out who makes the frame but no joy. I just need as much info as I can to make an informed decision. I need something thats on the road and half decent so I can work on it as I go along and this is at the top of my budget at the moment.

Its the cleaning products that has duped me! No thief is that clean unless he has just cleaned the bike with Mr Muscle!!!

The saddlebag on a pure trackbike is an aesthetic I can get behind.

Fences don't use Lenor. FACT.

• #13
So what are your thoughts on this people???

Seller has ended and restarted the sale a number of times which is dubious. Also has several negative feedbacks.

Stolen as fuck.
"..getting married. Lol"

This all means "not worth a punt" round these parts.

He's only 5'7", I reckon you could take him.

Also, I'm a girl who is 5' 7" and rides a 56 frame, I'd guess he finds the reach a bit cramped if he rides it, that's not a hard and fast rule at all, but combined with the other things people have mentioned it continues towards the dodgy trend.

Wasn't there a guy in Gumtree in recent times using this cover story and shifting stolen bikes?
I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but I do think I read it on this here forum.
