It might be possible - you'd need to remove the freehub body and put a new axle in it, but even then you might find that it is too wide.

that was my thought as well.. but aren't the driveside bearings located in the freehub?

Ah, you're right, yes. They aren't in the freewheel body itself, but they are in the same location (on Shimano hubs, at least). Guess you can't do it, then.
I'm new here, so hope that this has been posted in the right forum.
Is it possible to convert this FFWD rear wheel into a front wheel ?
I know it is possible with the old specialized trispokes.. but not sure about this..?
