I was expecting the traffic to be (even more of a) complete joke earlier but it seemed ok..
I use fransiscan and church lane though, mostly

kastooris
-
• #9
yeah, I've heard kastoori is good, some of my friends go there for special occasion
I've not been there, I'm not veggie, but would still like to try it
-

The traffic was backed up all the way to Earlsfield road/Spencer Park (over a mile surely)
Rada Krishna Bavan if you like South Indian
Lahore Karahi if you like hot north Indian/Pakistani type stuff
Vijay Krishna if you want the standard Indian menu done a bit better than usual
Kastoori if you want something like you've never had before (in a good way). Make sure you order the puri to start and if you go an a Friday have the potato and cauliflour curry. -

What is the Sri Lankan one that feels like sitting in someone's front room? I like it there.
Mmmmmmm, hungry.
-
• #13
that sounds like Jaffna house, out the back.
not the best curry, but possible the hottest. even the chick peas make people cry
-
• #14
Is the Sri Krishna still there? There's a spin-off from it in Tolworth that is the real deal - both are/were fucking good.
There used to be a place next door to the Kastoori that was all done out in McDonaldesque furniture, but the food was incomparable in every way. -

Dreeeeeedge! (Although vaguely related to the original thread title)
Am considering moving to Tooting with my other half, and was wondering if anyone could give me the low down on what the area's like, and all the pros and cons of the area? Ta!

You can look forward to good Indian food and shit traffic!
-
• #19
the latter often follows the former

You can get a seat on the tube before 7am if you're heading north. After that, forget it.

Cheers all
Any of you Tooting lot know what the hell is going on, on Trinity road?
Closed both ways, loads of police, fire engines and lots of plane clothes undercover roz racing to the scene, seemed to be some ambulance action too.
BBC says its closed because of an 'obstruction' would have investigated further but it was shiting it down and I was too busy trying not to get killed.
