I think so. It started out fine and was reading right (or near enough that I didn't think anything was amiss), but then the figures started inflating progressively, getting larger and larger. It was cutting out a bit and readings would drop away too, which hasn't happened before.
It's an old wired system and with the mud and crap that built up yesterday, the tyre/filth was fouling bit on the wire running to the sensor along the chainstay. I fiddled as much as I could to get it clear, but wonder if that's done something. I'm in the midst of moving house, so everything is up in the air at the minute. Hopefully in the next few days I'll be able to clean it all up, inspect it and test it out properly.
